Hi! I’m Marissa…

I am from New Jersey, born and raised here. Married to the love of my life, and personal photographer, John. We got married on 10.10.10 and celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary in October of 2020.

I want to write about all things that strike my fancy, but mainly about my simplistic style and love for all things plaid. Peep those beautiful plaid heels! Usually I keep it casual, but I don’t mind dressing things up too.

Travel is also a passion of mine and I wish I had the budget to do more of it. I have been lucky enough to take some adventures throughout my life and I would love to share them with you.

My mom is a great cook and is always in the kitchen. Cooking, however, doesn’t come natural for me and I have been more of a baker. It must be that “Type A measure everything out” bit.  Despite not having the natural abilities, I’ve been learning to try some new and to perfect favorite recipes.
